Southwell saw Harry Cobden again partnered with My Gift To You in a Handicap Hurdle over 2m 4 1/2f. Harry had MGTY settled towards the rear before making progress on the outer. He challenged on the home turn getting his head in front going into the second. The outcome was never in doubt as he went clear to win easily for his delighted owners and trainer James Owen.
