The Club
Experience the “thrill” of racehorse ownership with a group of like-minded fellow enthusiast's, limited to 36 members. Follow three horses as they embark on their careers under the skilful training of Derby winning jockey, Adam Kirby.
About Adam
Brought up on Vicarage Farm, Kirtling. Adam realised his passion for horses and started riding out for James Fanshawe aged just 12. Aged 16, Adams first race ride was a winner and he has since ridden over 1500 winners and been the All- Weather Champion Jockey three times. In 2013 Adam teamed up with Lethal Force, a horse which took his career to a higher level giving him his first Group 1 win in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot before going on to win the July up. He has since won the July Cup for a second time on board Harry Angel amongst further Group 1’s and International races at the highest level.
Adam is well renowned to be a fine horseman, understanding the nature of each individual, no matter how complex or difficult. Adam burst on to the training scene in March this year, sending out his first runner and winner at Kempton Park.
The Horses
Adam has leased three superb looking two-year-olds to AKRC and we are extremely excited to follow their journey with you.
There will be a maximum of 36 Members at any one time. AKRC will always have a minimum of 3 horses. If any AKRC horse(s) is/are injured or sold, then it is the responsibility of the Club Managers to find a replacement.
Go Racing
Enjoy complimentary Owner’s Badges when a club horse runs. The Club will receive a certain amount of badges when we have a runner which varies from racecourse to racecourse. Our objective is to try and accommodate all members who wish to attend. There can be no guarantee of a an Owners' badge although If we are oversubscribed, we guarantee entry tickets for members not lucky enough to receive free Owner’s Badges on that occasion.
Adam (or his representative) will meet Club members on the race day at a pre-arranged time and location before the race. If possible (race day commitments willing), post-race meetings with Adams and the race jockey will also be arranged.
Share in the prize Money
A 36th of 80% of net Owners’ prize money will be paid to Club members. The prize money owing to any member will be paid on the last day of their 12-month membership period if all membership fees have been paid.
